Waka Hotels & Resorts takes home the trophies at the Tri Hita Karana tourism awards for a fifth consecutive year
We’re delighted to share that both WakaGangga, our boutique beachfront resort on the coast of Tabanan, and NusaBay Menjangan by WHM, our Balinese eco resort in the West Bali National Park in North Bali, have picked up accolades at the prestigious Tri Hita Karana Awards.
Tri Hita Karana is the beautiful Balinese philosophy that represents the three causes of wellbeing or prosperity in everyday life – harmonious relationships between humans and other humans, between humans and God, and between humans and the environment.

It’s an ancient ideology that guides many aspects of Balinese life, and the Tri Hita Karana Awards are dedicated to recognising hotels and businesses that work to maintain this unique set of Balinese principles. Organised by the Tri Hita Karana Bali Foundation, the awards are fully supported by the Balinese Government.

Our team proudly collected a Gold Medal for NusaBay Menjangan by WHM and an Emerald II for WakaGangga at the Denpasar awards ceremony in November 2019. The accreditation followed an intensive inspection of our properties, services and facilities by the Tri Hita Karana Awards authorities.
