A Journey to Kintamani – Mount Batur Volcano & Batur Lake

Ubud’s Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is home about 600 long-tailed Balinese Macaques. The monkeys can be very mischievous but they are fascinating to observe, especially with their young. There are also three temples here, dating from around the 14th century, and around 115 different species of trees.
11:50hrs – 12:30hrs
Tegallalang is renowned for the beauty of its sculpted rice terraces. These vibrant green plantings and layered mirrors unfold like giant stairways from the coconut-palm-forested-hilltop to the valley below. Known as ‘sawah’, the padi fields of Bali are a thousand years old, and achieved through an ancient system of aquatic engineering.

Enjoy delicious lunch of local flavours which guest can decide to have in Ubud area surrounded by rice field OR in Kintamani while accompanied by the dramatic view from the rim of the active volcano Mount Batur and the serene Lake Batur.
13:30hrs – 14:30hrs
The trip continue to Kintamani, the name given to the area surrounding Gunung Batur volcano and Lake Batur, which both sit within a massive, 25-thousand-year-old caldera with Toyo Bungkah village at the lake’s edge. The drive will bring guests to the crop plantations of tomatoes, onions, cabbages and garlic at the lake’s edge.
14:50hrs – 15:20hrs
Journey into what is often referred to as ‘the world’s most beautiful caldera’ for a drive through the rugged rocky terrain and mysterious lunar-like landscape of the black lava fields of the volcano, a remnant of the last major eruption. This is a popular spot for wedding couples to pose for photographs.
15:20hrs – 16:20hrs
Guest can choose to have their coffee break with Bali Coffee, tea and Balinese snack in picnic style in the middle of caldera while sightseeing the remaining of Batur mountain ruins OR guest can choose to have their coffee break in the coffee plantation while hearing the story telling of Balinese coffee origin.
17:40hrs – 18:30hrs
Arrived back to Hotel.
